People from all walks of life and from all across Nueces County are
continuing to rally behind Abel Herrero. As state representative, Abel
Herrero has been fighting to give working families a fair shake - not a
shake down.

Abel Herrero has a track record of supporting our public schools and
helping local kids overcome the hurdles of getting into college. You
don't have to know algebra to understand our school finance system is
broke. That's why Abel Herrero took his hometown, South Texas values to
Austin. After all, the attorney who worked on the 17th floor of the
same building where his mother used to work as an elevator operator, has
no intention of letting special interests cut in line while seniors,
veterans, children and working families get the short end of the stick.

As our State Representative, Abel Herrero has had the courage to tell
the truth to the Governor and Republican leadership - that under their
plan, our schools don't get any of the new money needed to prepare our
children to compete. And that's wrong.

We need to keep Abel Herrero fighting for us in the Texas Legislature.
With Abel Herrero, we know he will continue to work to make improvements
to our educational system, make health care more accessible and
affordable for all our families, provide new incentives for small
businesses, reinstate funds that were cut from the Children's Health
Insurance Program, and establish partnerships to nurture regional
economic growth.

If you want a leader who will stand with the hardworking families of
Nueces County, not against them... then it's time for you to join
concerned residents across Nueces County in supporting Abel Herrero for
re-election as our State Representative.
